Washington DC Lobbying: June 25, 2014
Alicia and Michael Stillman spent the day in Washington D.C. in meetings with the FDA and members of Congress regarding the approval of the MenB vaccine in the United States. We attended these meetings with the message that our daughter died of a vaccine preventable vaccine. The vaccine was available in other countries – but not in the United States of America. The United States is supposed to be the leader, not the follower. Our daughter should have had that vaccine. We appreciate the time that we spent with four very important employees at the FDA. In addition, Congressmen Paulsen, Upton, Peters and Bentivolio were incredibly gracious with their time. These fine men, together with their hard working staff and the staff from other members of Congress, are working with us to tighten up the time estimate given to us by the FDA.
